Water can bind higher amounts of gas under pressure. Due to the different pressure in heating and cooling systems, this bound gas can be released again in some areas (Henry's law). This gas can lead to malfunctions that cause corrosion or are transported with the medium and lead to flow noise and increased wear of valves and pumps by cavitations.
Fill and refill water still contains a lot of air, which is bound in the water by the high pressure of the drinking water network (11 mg / l oxygen and 18 mg / l nitrogen). In addition, air is diffusing over the whole duration of the operation of the system via stuffing boxes, rubber membranes, plastic tubes, seals, etc into this one.
Pressure fluctuations caused by incorrectly sized, not maintained and improperly adjusted or defective expansion vessels are significant responsible. Gases may be generated by chemical reactions in the system.
Expansion vessels must be properly sized, have primary pressure set correctly and be continuously review. After filling the system, the installer / operator of the facility must vent properly and carefully. However, the dissolved gases in the heating water cannot be removed so that, therefore, frequently venting again is required. The Sunline pressure maintenance and venting system consists of a closed, pressure-free stainless steel tank with an opening for cleaning and a water level indicator.
The system is a compact unit with pressure maintenance pump and the control and regulation module which is composed of a pressure control device, a overflow valve, a refill solenoid valve, a level switch, a drain valve, a processor-controlled control with pressure display, a set-point adjustment and an USB interface for data output.
The SDE unit is fully electrically and hydraulically preassembled and preset according to object specifications to the correct operating parameters by factory.
