Project Report


On the outskirts of Dingelstädt, the company “Thüringer Agrartechnik und Maschinenbau GmbH” (TAM) established a new production hall and warehouse in 2016. The company TAM was founded in 1992 and with its 5 branches, it is one of the largest suppliers of agricultural and mechanical engineering in Thuringia.

An important production sector of the company TAM is the production and distribution of fence technology, for example also of sound-certified ball catch fences. Therefore, at the planning and completion the client not only paid attention to an energy efficient heating, but also to measures to improve acoustics within the production and storage areas.

For this purpose, the acoustic boxes developed and patented by Sunline were installed to reduce the reverberation times. The acoustic boxes have been mounted easily and without any problem on the radiant ceiling panels.

In the course of a subsequent examination by an independent acoustic institute, it was verified that the radiant ceiling panels with integrated acoustic boxes lead to a significant sound reduction within the hall areas. Due to the good experiences in Dingelstädt, the company TAM is now checking the possibilities of retrofitting existing radiant ceiling panels with acoustic boxes at their other locations.
